A firefighting system is a set of equipment and devices designed to help extinguish a fire and minimize its spread. The fire fighting system is one of the most important links in the field of safety. Because no matter how successful we are in detecting and controlling the fire, in the end, an action must be taken to extinguish it.

These systems can be divided into the following three general groups:

  • Non-automatic or manual
  • automatic
  • F&G

Sprinkler firefighting system

Manual fire extinguishers include dry and wet powder chemical cylinders, Co2, water and gas canisters, as well as foam canisters.
In order to deal with fire, these equipments are installed at different distances in different places, including the floors of buildings and public roads.

Automatic extinguishing systems are for places and conditions where people cannot put out the fire by personal action and using manual extinguishing equipment.
In this situation, after the detection of danger or fire by the notification system, an order is sent to the extinguishing system and the firefighting system operation will start automatically.

Automatic fire extinguishing can be divided into 4 subgroups, which are:

  • Blue like a sprinkler
  • Spray nozzle
  • water mist
  • Gas extinguishing systems such as FM200, halons, aerosols, and inert gases such as IG55

There is a more unusual but very important branch of fire suppression systems.
This branch is the F&G firefighting system.
Some manual fire extinguishing equipment and the general automatic fire suppression system will be placed in this branch.

And finally, the last subgroup is the firefighting equipment including nozzles, monitors, firebox, valves, etc.

The equipment of the firefighting system separately are:

  • Fire-fighting equipment
  • Hydrant
  • Monitor
  • Firefox
  • Fire hose
  • Nozzle
  • coupling
  • Hose reel

Fire extinguishing capsule

Fire extinguishers or cylinders, based on their contents, will include the following types.

  • Water
  • Powder
  • Gas (Co2)
  • Foam

Automatic fire extinguishers are divided into the following types based on the type of extinguishing agent.

1- Foam

  • Foam indicator – foam nozzle spray – foam nozzle
  • Foam maker – foam tank – foam spray nozzle
  • Foam Dosing System – Bladder Tank

2- Water

  • Spray nozzle-sprinkler-fusible plug-deluge valve
  • Valve check alarm – valve indicator post
  • Valve plate post

3- Gas

  • Inert gases
  • (FM200)
  • CO-2
  • HFC-227e
  • Aerosol
  • Novec 1230
  • Assembly zone
