The Petroleum Engineering Department of Amirkabir University of Technology was established in 2002. Its aim was to address the needs of the oil industry and to train specialists in the upstream sectors. The National Iranian Oil Company and the Ministry of Science have transformed this department into one of the most prestigious educational centers in the country with their support.
Advanced laboratories and modern equipment provide students and researchers with the opportunity to conduct research and development in the fields of oil and gas exploration and extraction. The department has received over three billion rials and five million dollars in investment, playing a significant role in advancing the oil industry. Experts recognize Amirkabir’s Petroleum Engineering Department as the second most comprehensive petroleum engineering program in the country.
