In response to the increasing demand for electrical energy in Iran and the absence of domestic production of turbines and their ancillary equipment, MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TOGA), a key subsidiary of the MAPNA Group, was established in the summer of 1999. The production of large gas turbines at its factories located in Fardis, Karaj (30 kilometers from Tehran) began in late 2001. Since then, to meet the growing domestic and international demand for these products, the facilities and factory capacity have been continuously expanded, reaching nearly 40 units per year.
Currently, TOGA, with the production and delivery of over 300 gas and steam turbines to the Iranian and Middle Eastern markets, is considered an international player in the turbine industry.
